Important dates in 2024 for voters

April 30, 2024 - LC deadline to submit your name as a candidate to the Town Clerk's office at town hall for Budget Committee (voting takes place on May 21st)

May 21, 2024 - LC Financial Town Meeting and voting for Budget Committee members

May 25, 26 and 27 - Deadline to register to vote in order to file a Declaration of Candidacy 

June 24, 25, and 26 - Declaration of Candidacy filing period

August 11, 2024 - Voter registration deadline for RI state primary (Note: to vote in a party primary you must disaffiliate from any other party at least 30 days before the primary date)

August 19-22, 2024 - Democratic Convention, Chicago IL 

August 20, 2024 - Mail Ballot Application deadline for RI party primaries (Options: use the Drop Box in front of Town Hall for completed ballots or hand-deliver completed ballots to the town clerk's office)

August 21 - September 9, 2024 - Early Voting at Town Hall for RI party primaries

September 10, 2024 - RI State party primaries

October 6, 2024 - Voter registration deadline for General Election

October 15, 2024 - Mail Ballot Application deadline (use the Drop Box in front of Town Hall for completed ballots or hand deliver completed ballots to the town clerk's office at Town Hall).

October 16 - November 4, 2024 - Early Voting at Town Hall and emergency ballot period 

November 5, 2024 - General Election (Presidential, RI Congressional District 1, RI State Senate and State Representative, and local Little Compton Town Council and School Committee)
